Originally released in 2007 in collaboration with Japanese company Atmos, the Air Max 1 Atmos Elephant is one of the most coveted Air Maxes in existence. 

In reference to the love of the Air Jordan III and the idea of an elephant splashing in the water, the pair features an elephant print on the mudguard, a white leather toe box and jade accents on the Swoosh and branding.  

In 2016, the colorway, pinned against 100 other Air Max 1 colorways, won the "Vote Back" campaign in celebration of Air Max Day. In 2017, the Atmos Elephant Air Max 1 was rereleased.
